Francesco Musante is born in 1950 in Genova, he graduates at Artistic High School and at Academy of Fine Arts of Turin. In 1970s, during the student protest, he decides to study philosophy at University of Genova and he joins also painting courses at Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara. His works realized in 1969-70 are influenced by Pop Art, Combine Paintings in Rauschenberg; there are some references to America using writings and wood objects. In 1971 he decides to be artist full-time. During his artistic career Musante creates also illustrations for different books, tales and fables. Since 1971 he has organized more than 400 personal expositions. He realizes the characters of the theme song and the scenography of the TV show Zelig in 2007. Actually, he lives and works in Sori (Genova).
